THE SHOE

This has without a doubt been the hardest assignment I have had so far in an art class. I knew when I signed up for 3D design that it would be an ongoing challenge throughout the semester because I had only done 2D artwork so far in my career as an artist.
For this assignment we had to choose a pair of shoes that we believed embodied a personality. So of course I went to the best place to find shoes with personality.. Goodwill.

These are the shoes I chose, without knowing what the assignment would be...
For the assignment we had to do a contour drawing of the right shoe (which means only lines no shading) and sculpt the left shoes using 19 gauge galvanized wire.

After getting frustrated several times, throwing a couple attempts on the ground, and waisting a lot of wire here is the final outcome.
